Mahesh Babu’s father Krishna Ghattamaneni was admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad on Monday after suffering a cardiac arrest. By Monday evening, he was shifted to ventilator, even after all efforts, South Superstar’s father could not be saved. Mahesh Babu’s father and well-known South actor Krishna said goodbye to this world at the age of 80.

Mahesh Babu’s father was one of the veteran actors of Telugu cinema. Mahesh Babu’s father’s name was Ghattamnaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy, he was known in the industry as Superstar Krishna. He was an actor, producer, director as well as a politician. Superstar Krishna had acted in around 350 films in his career spanning 5 decades. Krishna was also honored with Padma Vibhushan.
Let me tell you, Superstar Krishna started his acting career in 1961 doing small roles. In 1965, he acted in the first film ‘Thene Manasulu’ as a lead. Superstar Krishna had two marriages.
