Canara Bank has increased the daily transaction limit for ATM cash, Point of Sale (POS) and e-commerce transactions. The bank has updated it and implemented it with immediate effect.

Customers got this facility
According to Canara Bank, the security on card transactions has been increased under the guidelines of RBI. The default card issued can be used for domestic use only at ATMs and POS. International and online use and contactless use cannot be done at the time of card issuance. Customers are given the facility to switch on and off the card channel-wise and set limits through ATM, Branch, Mobile Banking, Internet Banking and IVRS.
Know, how much the transaction limit has increased
Daily ATM cash withdrawal limit has been increased from Rs 40,000 to Rs 75,000 from Classic Debit Card. The daily POS limit for these cards has been increased from one lakh to two lakh. The bank has retained the daily transaction limit for NFC (contactless) through Canara Bank Classic Debit Card at Rs 25,000. No changes have been made in this.
At the same time, the bank has increased the cash transaction limit from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh for Platinum, Business, Select debit cards, while for POS, e-commerce transactions, the daily transaction limit has been increased from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. The daily transaction limit for NFC (contactless) transactions has been retained at 25,000.
Poor security of atm
Once again the security arrangements of ATMs have become poor. Guards are visible in only a few banks’ ATMs, while not in most places. There are no guards posted at many ATMs of private banks as well. Talking about nationalized banks, they have more resources and facilities than private ones. Still negligence is being done. Whereas, there have been incidents of theft in many ATMs.
