RRR Re Release: RRR has earned a nomination for the Academy Award in the Best Original Song category.
RRR Re Release: Just before 2023 Oscars, S.S. Rajamouli’s (S. S. Rajamouli) RRR is being re-released in America. In a tweet, film distributor Variance Films has confirmed that the Tollywood epic will be re-released in over 200 theaters in the country from March 3. However, a report that surfaced earlier claimed that RRR will get the ‘world’s biggest screening’ on March 1 at a theater in Los Angeles, US by the name of ‘RRR Fan CelebRRation Live’. Will be held in RRR received an Oscar nomination in January for its song ‘Naatu Naatu’.
Variance Films has informed that RRR is releasing once again in the US on March 3 and the release will be exclusively in the original language Telugu. In India, RRR is available on Netflix with the Hindi dub, although Zee5 has the film listed in the original language. Christian Parks, Co-Founder, Beyond Fest (Distributor) said on the occasion, “Since our first screening of RRR eight months ago, we have watched Rajamouli’s epic break down cultural barriers and the film become a global phenomenon. ”

Variance Films has confirmed that more theaters will be added to the list as long as demand is strong. Rajamouli’s latest film, RRR is currently at the third position among the biggest Indian films of all time. It depicts a fictional story of two revolutionaries who decide to join forces and fight back for their freedom from British rule in the 1920s. The film has been appreciated by audiences in both Indian and western parts, which has led to several re-releases. The film has earned an impressive $159.5 million (roughly Rs. 1,320 crores) at the worldwide box office.
As we mentioned, RRR has earned an Academy Award nomination in the Best Original Song category. This song competes with ‘Hold My Hand’ by Top Gun: Maverick, ‘Lift Me Up’ by Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, ‘This Is a Life’ by Everything Everywhere All at Once and ‘Applause’ by Tell It Like a Woman ‘ Are included.
