7th Pay Commission: The central government may decide on the fitment factor soon. It is being said in media reports that with the increase in dearness allowance in July, the government may also increase the fitment factor. Government employees have also been demanding from the government to increase the fitment factor for a long time. If this happens then the minimum basic salary of the employees will increase. Due to the Fitment Factor Revision of central employees, the basic salary will increase from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000.

Soon there will be revision in fitment factor

Government employees are continuously demanding to increase the fitment factor. The central government employees are demanding an increase in the minimum basic pay from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000. To do this, the fitment factor will have to be increased from 2.57 times to 3.68 times. With the announcement of increase in the fitment factor of central employees, there will be a good increase in their salary. The salary of karchmaris will directly increase by Rs 8,000. With the increase in the basic salary, the allowances related to it like Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance etc. will also increase because these are also available on the basis of basic salary.

Salary can increase so much

If the fitment factor is increased to 3.68, then the basic pay of the employees will be Rs 26,000. Now if your minimum salary is Rs 18,000, then excluding allowance you will get Rs 46,260 (18,000 X 2.57 = 46,260) according to 2.57 fitment factor. Now if the fitment factor is 3.68 then your salary will be Rs 95,680 (26000X3.68 = 95,680).

The government had increased DA in March

The central government had increased the dearness allowance by 4 per cent in March. The government had increased the DA from 38 per cent to 42 per cent. It was considered applicable from 1 January. Earlier last year before Diwali in 2022, the government had increased DA. Now it is expected that by increasing the fitment factor, the Modi government will further increase their salary.
