ICICI Bank has extended the last date for investment in ICICI Bank Golden Years FD, its special fixed deposit scheme for senior citizens, till 31 October 2023. Earlier the deadline to invest in this special FD was till 7 April 2023. The bank offers the highest interest rate benefit to the investors on this scheme.
Under the Golden Years FD, ICICI Bank offers 0.10 per cent interest to senior citizens over the current incremental rate of 0.50 per cent offered on retail term deposits.
The investment tenure of Golden Years FDs ranges from five years to 10 years. Currently, ICICI Bank has announced a total interest rate of 7.5 percent to its investors in ICICI Bank Golden Year FD for Senior Citizens. Special interest rate will be applicable on FDs of investment less than 2 crores.
Interest rates on other FD tenures for senior citizens
ICICI Bank offers attractive interest rates to senior citizens for investing in FDs ranging from 7 days to 10 years. The bank is offering the highest interest rate of 7.60 percent to senior citizens on investments in FDs with tenors of 15 months to 18 months. The bank is also offering 7.60 percent interest on a tenure of 18 months to 2 years.
Investors of ICICI Bank Golden Years FD (ICICI Bank FD Premature Withdrawal) also get an early withdrawal option.If the FD is closed on or after five years and one day, the applicable penalty rate of 1.00 per cent will be applicable from March 14, 2023.
