When how many fake notes were recovered
According to the information, in the year 2022-23, about 91,110 fake notes of Rs 500 were recovered. In 2021-22, 76,669 fake notes were caught. At the same time, in the year 2020-21, 39,453 fake notes of Rs 500 were caught. It can be seen here that fake notes of Rs 500 are 14.6 percent more in 2022-23 than in 2021-22. The recovery of fake notes is increasing year by year. This means that the infiltration of fake notes in the market is continuously increasing.
Do this when you get fake notes
- Taking out fake notes from ATM
- According to the rules of RBI, if fake notes come out from the ATM of a bank, then that bank will replace that note.
- If this happens, first of all inform the security guard present there.
- Keep in mind that you have to identify the fake note in front of the ATM itself.
- After this, both the front and back side of the note will have to be shown on the CCTV camera installed there.
Upon receipt of the transaction
If you get fake notes on a large scale, then take it to the nearest branch of RBI as soon as possible. Remember that you should have complete proof of this. Along with this, report it to your nearest police station as well.
