EPFO: There is a way to save PF. So that the amount deposited in this fund can come in handy during difficult times. A part of basic salary of employees is deposited in PF.
- The PF account holder has to go to the EPFO website and merge the account

People working in the private sector keep changing jobs to advance their careers. It also saw a boom after the Kovid epidemic. In such a situation, if you are also changing the job or have been changed, after joining the new company, complete a task very carefully. This task is to merge EPF accounts.
At the time of joining every new company, a new PF account is opened with your old UAN number . But funds deposited during employment in old companies are not added to the new PF account. So, the PF account holder has to go to the EPFO website and merge the account.
Online Merging Facility
After the EPF account is merged , the total amount will be visible in your single account. You can easily merge your PF accounts online. For this you have to visit the official website of EPFO. Here you have to go to Services. Then click on One Employee One EPF Account.
The OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number after which the form will open to merge the EPF account. Here you have to enter registered mobile number from EPF account. Then enter UAN and existing member ID. After filling complete details, OTP will be generated for Authentication. OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number .
As soon as you enter the OTP number. Your old account details will then appear. After this fill the PF account number and click on submit button. Your request to merge account will be accepted. Then after few days of verification your account will be merged.
UAN is very important
However, keep in mind thatto avail any facility related to EPF online, you must know your UAN (Universal Account No). Along with thisit is also necessary to activate the UAN .
How to find your UAN
If you don’t know your UAN , you can find it online. For this you have to go to ‘https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/’. Then click on the Employee Linked section on the right side and click on ‘Know Your UAN’ number. Then you have to fill registered mobile number and captcha code.
After this click on Request OTP . Now a page will open in front of you. On it you have to fill your PF account number and captcha. Aadhaar or PAN number should also be entered along with the date of birth. After this click on ‘Show My UAN Number’. You will get your UAN .
