The central bank expects that the remaining Rs 2000 notes will also be properly deposited before September 30.
On this day, the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India also announced that there is no change in the repo rate this time. According to the Reserve Bank of India’s calculations, the growth rate at the end of June of the current financial year is likely to be 8 percent. After that the growth rate may slow down a bit. The RBI also said that the growth rate for the current financial year is estimated at around 6.5 percent.
Incidentally, the printing of Rs 2,000 notes was stopped since 2018. After such news came to light, the question is again raised that if the plan to cancel 2000 notes was going on long ago.
