Indian Railways General Ticket: If you also travel by train then there is good news for you. Now those traveling in the general category will get special facilities from the Railways. Let us tell you that in the summer time, those traveling in the general category have to face a lot of trouble. Now the Railways has received a letter to remove the problems of the passengers, after which the Railways has taken a big decision. Let us tell you what facilities the passengers will get in the general category from now on.
These facilities will be available in the summer season
In view of the increasing number of passengers in the summer season, the Railway Board has written a letter to all the railway zones directing them to ensure all the basic facilities in the general class coaches. This letter of the Railway Board has been issued after pictures of huge crowd of passengers in general class coaches of trains surfaced on social media forums.
Wrote letter to railway board
In this letter written by Jaya Verma Sinha, Member (Operations and Business Development) in the Railway Board, the general managers of the railway zones have been asked to ensure basic amenities for passengers traveling in trains, especially in ordinary coaches.
Even basic facilities are not available
General class coaches are at the front and rear ends of all mail and express trains only. Because of this, they do not even get basic facilities like drinking water and catering shops on the platforms of many stations.
These facilities will be available including food and water
General managers of all railway zones have been instructed to arrange affordable food, drinking water and vending trolleys near unreserved coaches at every stoppage of trains. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to ensure cleanliness of general class coaches at the designated stations to improve service quality.
