IMD Rainfall Alert: Monsoon has already arrived in the state. Cloud breaking rain has started in several places of North Bengal. The weather office has predicted that monsoon will enter all the districts of South Bengal this week. Heavy to very heavy rain is likely over Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, Alipurduar and Cooch Behar.
Red alert is in force in North Bengal. Gradually, the amount of rainfall will start increasing in the entire state. So there will be heavy rain in West Bengal too. On the other hand, monsoon is also entering South Bengal. Scattered thundershowers are likely in several districts. Birbhum, Murshidabad, Nadia, East Burdwan are likely to receive heavy rain in the next 24 hours. Also there is a possibility of rain in Bankura, Purulia, West Burdwan, Medinipur.
The temperature in Purulia district has decreased slightly compared to the previous days. Scattered light rain is seen at several places. It is raining in many places in Purulia city even on Thursday afternoon. Monsoon has already entered the state. As a result, the temperature mercury has decreased quite a bit.
Purulia may have a maximum temperature of 33 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius, according to weather office sources. The Meteorological Department has issued a relief report for Purulia district. District Purulia will be flooded with heavy rain very soon. The residents of Purulia will get some relief.
The Meteorological Department has said that storms will be seen in all places in North and South Bengal from this week. By 23rd Monsoon will enter all parts of the state. It is believed that the entire state will get relief.
