Do not do this work even by mistake in train journey

Do not travel sitting on the roof

During the journey in the train, do not try to travel on its roof even by mistake. By doing this, you can be fined Rs 500 or jail for 3 months under section 156 of the Railway Act (Indian Railway Rules and Punishment). If the crime is big then both the punishments can be combined.

Don’t raise the alarm unnecessarily

It is illegal to pull an alarm on a moving train without reasonable cause. Under Section-141 of the Railway Act (Indian Railway Rules and Punishment), there can be a fine of one thousand rupees or one year in jail. The guilty person can also get both the punishments together from the court.

Do not put banner-posters in the rail

Placing any kind of poster, pamphlet or banner in the train is an offense under section 166 of the Railway Act (Indian Railway Rules and Punishment). Doing so can lead to a jail term of 6 months or a fine of Rs 500. If the Magistrate wishes, he can sentence the accused to both the sentences.

Jail if caught throwing garbage

It is also illegal to throw any kind of garbage or garbage in the train. Under Section 145 of the Railway Act (Indian Railway Rules and Punishment), the accused can be fined Rs 100 for the first offense and Rs 250 for the second offence.
