Bank Holiday Eid-ul-Adha 2023: On behalf of the Reserve Bank, it was said that the Government of Maharashtra has declared June 29, 2023 as a public holiday under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1981. The already fixed June 28 holiday is being cancelled.
Bank Holiday: Today is the festival of Bakrid. Most of the banks and stock market have a holiday across the country. The first Bakrid holiday was on 28th June. But it was later rescheduled and now the bank holiday is on 29 April. In the press release issued by RBI, it was informed that the date of public holiday is being changed under the Negotiable Instrument Act. This holiday is now on June 29, 2023.
