School Closed: Big Update! Government private schools of this state closed till fifth class, order issued

Delhi’s MCD schools will remain closed

Delhi’s Mayor Shaili Oberoi tweeted the information about the closure of MCD school on her official Twitter handle. Shaili tweeted that, ‘In view of the alert issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) regarding heavy rains and adverse weather conditions in Delhi, it has been decided that all MCD schools, MCD aided and recognized The receiving schools will remain closed for the students on 11.07.2023 (Tuesday). However, the staff and teachers working in the school will come to the school at their scheduled time tomorrow. Apart from this, due to the heavy rain alert, government schools and government-aided schools in Delhi will remain closed tomorrow from nursery to fifth class.

164 mm of rain so far in July

Delhi has received 164 mm of rain so far in July. The city receives an average of 209.7 mm of rainfall throughout the month. Due to the heavy rains, many parks, underpasses, markets and even hospital premises in the city were waterlogged and roads were heavily jammed. Pictures and videos of people wading through knee-deep water on the streets have gone viral on social media, raising many questions about the city’s drainage system.

Rain broke the record of 41 years

This rain in the month of July has broken the record for the last 41 years, and it is expected to continue even further. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for rain in Delhi for the next two days. Due to the rains, where on one side water-logging situation has arisen at some places, on the other hand, roads, trees and walls have come to the fore. Due to which many incidents have taken place across Delhi, due to which the water logging on the roads. River-like views are being seen everywhere.
