Visa is made according to the course

In most countries, visas are made on the basis of study program or course. Students doing short term courses like certificate or diploma apply for short term visa (Short Term Visa). On the other hand, students who apply for courses like Bachelors or Masters, they have to get Long Term Visa (Long Term Visa). This also includes internship time.

UK Student Visa

There are three types of student visa applicable in the United Kingdom (UK Visa Types). In the year 2022, 44 thousand students had applied for UK student visa.

1. Short Term Study Visa – This visa is valid for up to 11 months. It is given to those who want to go to UK to study English.

2. Student Visa- Students pursuing higher education are advised to apply for this visa.

3. Child Student Visa – This visa is applicable for children between the age of 4 to 17 years, who want to study in an independent school there.

USA Student Visa

America’s student visa is also divided into 3 categories (US Visa Types). Last year, 1 lakh 25 thousand students were issued USA student visa.

1. F-1 Visa- This visa is issued to students studying in high school and college. It includes students of both undergraduate and graduate programs. This visa is given to those who study a course with a duration of 18 or more hours every week.

2. M-1 Visa- This visa is issued to students studying non-academic or vocational studies. These programs are usually short term or career related. Through this visa, one can stay in America for a specified time. You have to return as soon as the visa expires.

3. J-1 Visa- It is known as Exchange Visitor Visa. This visa is for professionals working in America. It remains valid for about 10 months. Through this, training, fellowship, skill development training can be done.

Australia Student Visa

In the year 2022, between June- December, about 44 thousand students had applied for Australia student visa. The Australian Government’s Department of Immigration and Border Protection has made new rules for student visas.

1- According to this, foreign students will have to apply for visa under subclass 500 from July 1, 2016.

2- From July 1, 2023, students studying in Australia on student visa will be able to work for 48 hours in 15 days. Students’ Institution will not be counted in this. He will be able to work for more hours than this.

3- Students who are studying in Australia, they have to maintain important things like attendance, course program.

4. Temporary Skill Shortage Visa – This is Australia’s short term visa (Temporary Skill Shortage Visa). AUD 1,290 has to be paid for this. Under this visa, one can stay in Australia for 2 to 4 years.

5. Kovid-19 Pandemic Visa– Kovid 19 Pandemic Visa was introduced to encourage people working in the critical skill sector (Covid 19 Pandemic Visa). To achieve this, the Covid vaccine certificate will also have to be submitted.
