Weather Alert Today: Heavy rain-lightning alert in 20 districts, new system will be active again in August

Monsoon will remain active in Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota divisions of eastern Rajasthan. Under its influence, there is a possibility of rain in most parts and heavy rain at some places. On the other hand, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in some parts of Jodhpur, Bikaner division and heavy rain at one or two places.

Rajasthan Weather Alert Today: Monsoon has once again become active in Rajasthan by the end of July. The rains in a dozen districts in the last 24 hours have once again thrown life out of gear. The water level of the rivers has increased and there is waterlogging on the roads as well. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy to very heavy rains in several districts of the state along with Jaipur-Bharatpur division for the next four days. The maximum effect of heavy rains will be seen on August 1-2. There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain at isolated places with cloudy sky in Jaipur Kota. Jodhpur Bikaner and Udaipur may receive light rain at isolated places with cloudy sky.

Chances of rain in these areas today

  • According to the Rajasthan Meteorological Department, monsoon will remain active in Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota divisions of eastern Rajasthan. Under its influence, there is a possibility of rain in most parts and heavy rain at some places. On the other hand, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in some parts of Jodhpur, Bikaner division and heavy rain at one or two places.
  • Rain is likely to continue in parts of Bharatpur, Jaipur and Kota divisions of East and North-East Rajasthan today.
  • Rain alert has been issued in 19 districts Jaipur, Dausa, Alwar, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Churu, Nagaur, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Pali, Tonk, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Sawai Madhopur, Karauli, Dholpur, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Hanumangarh. During this, a warning has also been given about lightning.

Rain alert till August 2

According to the Meteorological Department, on July 30-31, there is a possibility of reduction in the activities of heavy rains in the state and light to moderate rains in some parts. After this, due to the formation of a new cyclonic circulation again from August 1, there is a possibility of heavy rains in the districts of Bharatpur, Jaipur division of North-East Rajasthan and heavy to very heavy rain at some places in Bharatpur, Jaipur division on August 2. Presently in Punjab And a cyclonic circulation has formed over Pakistan. From where the monsoon trough line is passing through Ganganagar, Delhi, Aligarh via Ambikapur, Balesar till the Bay of Bengal.

Dam gates opened, many trains canceled

  • In view of the heavy rains, the administration started draining the water by opening the gates of Rana Pratap Sagar, Jawahar Sagar, Kota Barrage, Kalisindh Dam. Due to this, the danger of flood has started looming in many areas.
  • Railways canceled Train No. 4861, Jaipur-Churu Passenger, Train No. 09730, Phulera-Jaipur, Train No. 09635, Jaipur-Rewari and Train No. 09636, Rewari-Jaipur today. Train number 19702, Delhi-Jaipur train was run up to Jaipur Junction and train number 04801, Sikar-Jaipur train was run up to Chaumu-Samod.
  • Train number 09605/09606 Ajmer-Jaipur-Jaipur was run up to Phulera and train number 12991/12992 Udaipur-Jaipur-Udaipur train up to Udaipur.
  • There is also a possibility of damage to standing crops in the fields, damage to kutcha houses and walls due to the effect of rain. Rail, bus and air traffic is also expected to be affected.

Rain record of last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, torrential rains were recorded in many districts including Alwar, Jaipur, Sikar, Sirohi, Jodhpur, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand. He told that during this period the maximum rainfall was received in Sirohi’s Mount Abu at 14 cm. Railmagra in Rajsamand received 12 cm, Jodhpur Phalodi 11, Kotputli in Jaipur 10, and Behrod in Alwar and Raisinghnagar in Sriganganagar nine cm. It rained 4.3 inches in Phalodi, 3.7 inches in Sikar.
