Employees can get the benefit of the old pension scheme by the Government of Uttarakhand. Tell that there are 96000 employees of the state who are connected with the restoration of old pension, but such employees have been appointed before October 1, 2005. They can be brought under the purview of the old pension scheme for the time being. If this happens, more than 7000 employees will get significant benefits. Based on the instructions of the Government of India, the Government of Uttarakhand can take some major decisions regarding the restoration of the old pension. Its exercise has started at the government level.
The old pension scheme was discontinued after 1 October 2004. Due to which those employees were affected, whose recruitment process started before October 1, 2004 but their joining happened after the closure of the old pension scheme. Such employees have to get the benefit of this. Those employees have been demanding restoration of old pension from the state government for a long time.

In the matter, Finance Secretary Dilip Jawalkar said that the matter was brought to the notice of some employees. After this, further work is being done on it under the instructions of the Government of India. On the basis of that, decisions are taken on salary allowances and others. The Finance Secretary says that the employees who have joined in 2005 but appeared in the recruitment examination during 2004 will be brought under the ambit of old pension. Many presentations have also been given in this direction. Soon further action will be completed on this.

Employees’ organizations across the country are demanding the central government to implement the old pension scheme in the state. Due to which the employees’ organizations have also organized big agitations in the state. At the same time, with the coup of the government in many states, the old pension scheme has been restored. Thousands of employees of the state are waiting to get the gift of restoration of old pension, but at present the employees who got appointment before October 1, 2005 can be brought under this purview. Under this, 4000 employees of the Education Department can get benefits.
Earlier, the old pension scheme has been implemented by more than half a dozen states. With the implementation of the old pension scheme, they will get the benefit of permanent pension. For this they will not have to pay the amount from their salary. In addition, 50% of his last drawn pay will be made available to him as pension.
