Employees Holiday 2024: Important news for government employees! Benefit of so many holidays will be available in 2024, cabinet approved

Government Employees Holiday 2024: In calendar 2024, there will be 15 days of leave under Bihar Revenue Magistrate Court, 20 days of voluntary leave and 21 days under NIA.

Government Employees Holiday 2024: There is good news for the government employees of Bihar. On the occasion of Janmashtami, the state’s Nitish Kumar government has released the holiday calendar for the year 2024 for the employees. Under this, the state government has approved 56 holidays for the employees and officers for the year 2024. It was approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Nitish Kumar on Tuesday. Be informed that last year a total of 36 holidays were sanctioned to the government employees.

Cabinet approves holiday calendar for 2024

In the Bihar cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, the state government has issued the calendar of 2024 for government employees and approved holidays for all offices and revenue magistrate courts. The government has announced the holiday of the state of Bihar under the Office Holiday and Negotiable Instruments Act. In the next year i.e. 2024, government employees will be able to take a maximum of 32 days leave in a year. The dates of Muslim festivals may change according to the sighting of the moon.

Know when and how much leave you will get

  • There will be a total of 56 holiday days in the Bihar government calendar 2024, but there will be a loss of 6 holidays due to Sunday. In calendar 2024, there will be 15 days of leave under Bihar Revenue Magistrate Court, 20 days of voluntary leave and 21 days under NIA.
  • The total number of holidays taken together is 36 days. Government employees will actually avail leave for only 32 days, excluding four days on Sunday.
  • A five-day working week system is in force in the Secretariat Departments and Directorates and a six-day working week system in regional offices (including the offices of Divisional Commissioners, Offices of Chief Engineers) under the State Government.
  • According to the sighting of Eid and the moon, the dates of Muslim festival holidays may change. Under the same NI Act-1881, the annual bank account closure holiday is fixed on the first of April every year.
