Electricity Consumers: Important news for electricity consumers, electricity bill payment centers will remain open even on holidays, discounts will be available

Electricity Consumers 2023: There is relief news for the electricity consumers of Madhya Pradesh. Electricity bill payment centers of the Central Region Power Distribution Company area in the month of September on 9, 16, 23, 30 (all Saturdays), 10, 17, 24 September (all Sundays), 19 September (Ganesh Chaturthi) and 28 September (Milad-un -Nabi/Anant Chaturdashi) will continue to function as normal working days.

  • Electricity bill payment centers will remain open even on holidays in 16 districts
  • Under the Bhopal city circle, all the zonal offices of the four city divisions viz. West, East, South and North divisions and bill payment centers in Danish Nagar, Misrod, Mandideep will remain open on the said holiday as a normal working day.
  • There is an appeal to electricity consumers that they will be able to make bill payment through cash and also through online mode through AISECT kiosks in the capital’s zonal office.
  • The company has also given instructions that electricity distribution centers / bill payment centers in all the 16 districts of the company’s jurisdiction will remain open even on holidays. All field general managers have been directed for this.

Consumers will be able to pay bills without paying extra charges

The company has made available many options to the electricity consumers like the company’s portal, MP online kiosk, AISECT kiosk, POS machine and collection agent. Here consumers can pay their electricity bill without any extra charge.

Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company has told that the options available through the payment gateway of HDFC (payU) and Indiaidea.com (Bill Desk) on the website portal.mpcz.in of the electricity consumer company are Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, Internet Banking , ECS/ EBPS/ NACH/ Cash Cards/ Wallets etc. or also through GOOGLE PAY, PHONE PAY, AMAZON PAY, FREE RECHARGE etc. to pay electricity bills.

Discount will be available on online payment

  • The company is providing a discount of 0.50 percent on the total outstanding bill to low pressure domestic consumers on online payment and there is no limit for the maximum discount.
  • It is noteworthy that the facility of electricity bill payment is available through POS machines in the distribution center offices of the company and through door-to-door payment through authorized meter readers and line employees in rural areas.
