In the Super-4 match of Asia Cup 2023, the Indian team, batting first, was limited to a score of only 213 runs. In this, Sri Lankan spinners played an important role and took all 10 wickets. From Sri Lanka, 20 year old young player Dunitha Vellalage took maximum 5 wickets, which included the wickets of Rohit, Gill, Kohli, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya.
Sri Lankan batsmen succumbed to the spin of Kuldeep and Jadeja.
It was very difficult for Sri Lanka to achieve this target on this pitch of R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Sri Lanka had lost 3 wickets in the first 10 overs.
