Canada Visa Services Suspended: After the statement of Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, relations between India and Canada have turned sour. Both the countries had expelled both the diplomats from their respective countries. Now India has stopped all visa services for Canada. Visa service for Canada has been closed until further orders. BLS India Visa Application Center has issued a notice on its website. It says that all visa services have been suspended from 21st September 2023 till further orders.

BLS International India Visa Application Center has written in its website, ‘Important information from the Indian Mission. Due to operational reasons, Indian Visa Service has been suspended till further orders on 21 September 2023. Please check the BLS website for further updates. Two days ago, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had alleged ‘possible’ involvement of an Indian government agent in the murder of a Khalistani separatist, after which a situation of diplomatic dispute has arisen between India and Canada.
India had issued advisory
The Ministry of External Affairs of India has issued an advisory for Indian citizens and students living in Canada. India on Wednesday issued an advisory advising its citizens and those considering travel there to exercise “extreme caution.” Apart from this, in the advisory, the Ministry of External Affairs has asked Indian students in Canada to exercise extreme caution and remain alert. According to the advisory, ‘In view of the increasing anti-India activities and politically supported hate crimes and criminal violence in Canada, all Indian nationals present there and those considering traveling are urged to exercise extreme caution.’

The advisory issued by the Ministry of External Affairs said, ‘Recently, threats have been made to specifically target Indian diplomats and those sections of the Indian community who oppose the anti-India agenda. Therefore, Indian citizens are advised to avoid traveling to areas and possible places in Canada where such incidents have been witnessed.
