Air India: Air India has started self baggage drop facility for the convenience of passengers. Now passengers can drop their bags and self-check-in. Additionally, kiosk check-in will also be available for passengers. By implementing this facility, passengers will save time waiting in line.
New Delhi: Tata’s Air India has started a new initiative for the convenience of passengers. Till now passengers are doing self check-in in Air India. Now Air India has also provided the facility of self baggage drop to the passengers. According to the information, to further improve the customer experience, Air India has launched a self baggage drop and self kiosk check-in facility for domestic and international flights at Terminal-3 of Delhi Airport. Delhi Airport has become the first Indian airport to do so for domestic and international flights. The service is currently available on all flights to Australia as well as all flights within India.
Using the new feature, people can print their boarding passes and baggage tags and drop off their bags themselves without going directly to the check-in counter. Kiosks also allow passengers to customize their journey, such as selecting available preferred seats and updating their frequent flyer number.
According to Rajesh Dogra, Ground Handling Officer, Air India, this facility eliminates the time of waiting in the queue for check-in at the counter. This helps the passengers to pass through the airport. He said that plans are being made to expand it all over the world to more and more countries.
Air India earlier this week announced the launch of ‘Project Abhinandan’, under which the airline has deployed specially trained service assurance officers at 16 major Indian airports. So that they can understand the concerns of passengers in advance and provide assistance at various touch points at the airport.
