This time, keeping in mind the waiting period of Navratri, Railways has decided to run many special trains. Every year on the occasion of Navratri, people from every corner of the country go to see Mata Vaishno Devi. Actually, special trains are operated by the Railways every time.
Plan to operate more trains
Sources say that this time the Railways plans to operate more trains than every other time. Actually, during the festive season, passengers face a lot of difficulty in getting train tickets. People start booking tickets for their home or favorite tourist place in advance. Many people are not able to get train tickets even after a lot of efforts. But this time, to provide comfortable travel to the passengers, Railways has arranged special trains from Uttar Pradesh. These trains will go to Jammu from different stations.
Railways took the decision in view of the crowd
Northern Railway has decided to start a special train in view of the additional rush of passengers. The train will make a total of six trips in both directions. A special train will be run between Varanasi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. This train will have AC, sleeper and general class coaches. The train will stop at Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot Cantt, Jammu Tawi and Udhampur stations en route between Varanasi to Katra and Katra to Varanasi (both directions).
Detailed information about train
Train number 01654 will depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra station every Sunday at 11:20 pm. This train will reach Varanasi station at 11:55 pm the next day. The train will be operated from 22 October to 26 November 2023. In return, train number 01653 will depart from Varanasi for Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra every Tuesday at 06.20 am. The train will reach its destination at 11:20 am the next day.
Some other trains are also being started from Delhi. Train number 04080 New Delhi to Varanasi special train will run from 6 November to 30 November 2023. The train will leave from New Delhi every week at 7 pm on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. In return, train number 04079 Varanasi-New Delhi will depart from Varanasi at 6:35 pm every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. It will run from November 7, 2023 to December 1, 2023.
