Driving License: If you want to get a driving license in UAE, then for this you are required to take driving lessons as well as pass a driving test. However, this rule does not apply to all people and some people have also been given exemption in this matter.
Golden Visa holders have got exemption
Golden Visa holders can apply directly for knowledge (theory) and road test without any hassle. According to the statement issued by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), if you pass this test then you will be given a driving license. For this one will have to enroll in the Driving Institute of Dubai.
Apart from this, if you have a driving license of your home country, then you will be issued a UAE driving license without any test.
