IMD Weather Alert: Torrential rain in 3 states, temperature dropped here, know forecast on Delhi-UP

Torrential rains and storms are expected in Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms may affect Bihar, Assam and Meghalaya. Widespread rainfall and thunderstorms are likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

Weather Update: Rain warning has been issued in 10 states today. Rain activity is going to continue in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Orissa and Andhra Kerala while the rain race will continue in Eastern India also. Rain alert has been given in these areas for a week. Holidays have been declared in many schools of northeastern states including Assam due to floods. Heavy rain warning issued

Yellow alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department. 27 mm rainfall was recorded in Sahibganj and surrounding areas. Rain has been predicted even today. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Pakur also today. Rainy conditions can be seen in Latehar also. In Budhmu too, many houses have been destroyed due to rain.

Warning of moderate rain today in many districts of Uttar Pradesh

Warning of moderate rain has been issued in many districts of Uttar Pradesh these days. The sky will be cloudy, with the departure of monsoon, rain will be seen in Gorakhpur Deoria today and tomorrow. It will rain in Purvanchal for two to three days. A change is being seen in the weather of Uttar Pradesh due to moisture coming from Manipur in Assam, Meghalaya and cold winds ahead from North India.

Talking about the North-Eastern states, Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh are going to receive heavy rains from 6th to 10th October. Rain activity will continue in Assam and Meghalaya till October 8. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Andaman and Nicobar till October 10. Along with lightning, an alert has also been issued for thunder and lightning. Apart from this, significant changes will be seen in the weather in Central and North West including West India, at some places the situation will be normal. There may be light rain in Delhi. On Friday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 17 degrees while the maximum was recorded at 35 degrees Celsius. There will be bright sunshine. There will be light clouds on 9th October and there is a possibility of rain on the next day on 10th October.

There will be no significant change in the weather in areas like Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat, Rajasthan etc. Although cold may increase. Along with this, a drop in temperature may be seen. There is a possibility of heavy rain in 17 districts of Bihar today. The activity is going to continue till October 10. In fact, a low pressure area has formed over south-west Jharkhand and adjacent Chhattisgarh. Due to which significant changes are taking place in the weather continuously in West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand. Heavy rain alert was also issued in Sambalpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Jagdalpur districts. Apart from this, orange alert was also issued in Sundergarh.

There may be heavy rain in many areas of Chhattisgarh today. Alert is issued in 11 districts in Orissa. There is a possibility of rain up to =13 mm. So far 152 mm rainfall has been recorded in the district. Kolkata and many areas of West Bengal witnessed continuous rain on Wednesday and Thursday. Heavy rain alert issued in Bankura Veer Bhoomi Faridabad 24 Parganas Medinipur. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heavy rain in other districts including Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri till October 7.
