Reduction in the price of LPG cylinder: In the last few days, Modi government has made a special reduction in the prices of LPG cylinder. A total of ₹300 has been cut with an additional subsidy of ₹200 in August and ₹100 recently.
Increase in distributors’ commission: Last year’s commission of ₹64.84 per cylinder has been increased to ₹73.08 per cylinder.
Commission on 5 kg cylinder: Commission on 5 kg cylinder has been fixed at ₹36.54 per cylinder.
Government’s objective: The government has taken these decisions keeping in mind the retail inflation and upcoming state elections.
Special for Ujjwala beneficiaries: Now the price of cylinder has become ₹603 for the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, while it is ₹903 for the general people in Delhi.
This latest decision of the government will give special benefit to the beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme. Along with reducing the prices of LPG, the government has also increased the commission of distributors, which will also benefit them.
