Salaries along with increase in dearness allowance including bonus arrears of lakhs of defense employees will be paid in the month of November. Along with this, they will get 80 to 90 thousand rupees as salary.
Employees, DA Hike: The Central Government has increased the dearness allowance of central employees by 4% from July 1. After this, the process of increase in dearness allowance of other employees has started. Along with this, they are also being given bonus benefits.
Payment of bonus amount
The bonus amount will be paid to defense employees as per 76 days’ salary. Orders have been issued in this regard. For non-productivity bonus, the Defense Ministry has given instructions to send the amount to the accounts of defense employees by November 10.
The order clarifies that the staff members of the services including JCOs, ORs and Air Services including the Navy will be eligible for ad-hoc bonus as per the OM of the Ministry of Finance mentioned in the rank para. In such a situation, bonus payments to armed forces personnel will be made till November 10.
Orders for increase in dearness allowance also issued
Orders have also been issued to increase the dearness allowance of lakhs of Defense Ministry employees. It has been decided to increase the DA benefit of 46% dearness allowance to Armed Forces officers and personnel below officer rank from the existing 42% rate from July 1. Officer employees will be given the benefit of dearness allowance on the basic salary.
The order clarified that the term basic pay in the revised pay structure means the pay drawn at the prescribed level in the pay matrix as per the seventh pay scale recommendation accepted by the government but it will not include any other pay such as special pay. Also, dearness allowance will remain a specific element of wages and will not be considered as salary within the ambit of wage rules.
Arrears amount of 3 months is also to be paid to the employees in the month of November. In such a situation, before Diwali, salary arrears and bonus along with increased dearness allowance will be paid to the employees, with which an amount of up to Rs 1 lakh will be seen in their account.
