IMD Alert: Big News! Rain alert in 7 states, thunderstorm and lightning, cold and fog will increase in Delhi-UP, temperature will fall, snowfall on mountains.

The Indian Meteorological Department predicts that a low pressure area will form over southern Bay of Bengal around 14 November and is likely to move west-northwestwards and turn into a depression over central and adjoining south Bay of Bengal around 16 November. Rain alert in these states

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, an alert of heavy rain has been issued in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Monday and Tuesday, in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on Tuesday and Wednesday and in Kerala on Wednesday and Thursday. There is a possibility of storm, lightning and strong winds in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema during 14 to 16 November. Cold will increase with snowfall in some areas of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand. In view of the bad weather conditions in the next few days, fishermen have also been advised not to go to the sea shore.

Light/moderate rain is likely over Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the next 7 days. There is a possibility of light rain in areas like Lakshadweep, Kerala and Mohe in the next few days. On 14-15 November, wind speed in central parts of Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal will be 45-55 km per hour and on 15-16 November, wind speed in south-west Bay of Bengal and coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh will be 45-55 km per hour. It can reach up to 55 km per hour. There is a possibility of rain and snowfall in some districts of Uttarakhand. Apart from this, there may be snowfall in the higher reaches of Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar today.

Cold will increase in these states, fog will cover

  • With the drop in temperature in UP, the effect of cold has started intensifying, in the coming days the temperature will drop rapidly and the cold will become severe. The weather will remain dry in the state till November 18. The temperature may drop by 1-1.5 degrees Celsius on Monday. Fog and cold are expected to increase in many districts in the next 24 hours.
  • Cold has knocked in Delhi-NCR also. The minimum temperature on Monday is likely to be 13 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is expected to be 28 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of clear sky and light fog in Delhi for the next 7 days.
  • In Chhattisgarh, the effect of cold and fog is expected to increase with the drop in temperature from next week.
  • Due to the effect of western disturbance and cyclone, many districts of Madhya Pradesh are cloudy. Due to this the day temperature has dropped. Due to increase in humidity in Gwalior Chambal, there are chances of rain for the next 2-3 days. However, there will be dry weather for the next few days.
  • The maximum temperature in Bihar is expected to be 28 to 30 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 18 to 20 degrees Celsius. The influence of westerly wind continues in Bihar, due to which the weather of the state will remain dry. From November 13, the minimum temperature in many districts including Patna is likely to go up by two to three degrees Celsius.
  • There is a possibility of light rain in Sikar, Alwar, Bharatpur, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu of Rajasthan, while in other districts there is a possibility of increase in cold due to falling temperature.
