UP School Update – Now the attendance of students, teachers and employees of council schools will be recorded online. From November 20, this system will be implemented in seven districts which include Lucknow, Hardoi, Sitapur, Lakhimpur, Kheri, Rae Bareli, Unnao and Shravasti. This system will be implemented in all the districts from next month. The teacher will register both arrival and departure from school.
Online attendance of students, teachers and employees of council schools will now be recorded. This system will be implemented in all the districts from next month.
Due to geo fencing of schools, online attendance can be done in the school premises only. Geo fencing is a technology that defines a virtual boundary around a geographical area and details can be recorded only within its defined limits.
There will be a stop to the arbitrariness of teachers
At present, attendance of students, teachers and employees is taken on manual register only. In such a situation, he applies it arbitrarily. Teachers’ attendance will have to be recorded twice daily. The teacher will register both arrival and departure from school.
During the summer season, from April 1 to September 30, the teacher will be able to register from 7:45 am to 8 am when coming to school and from 2:15 pm to 2:30 pm when leaving school. During the winter season, from October 1 to March 31, students will be able to register their attendance from 8:45 am to 9 am when coming to school and from 3:15 pm to 3:30 pm when leaving school.
There will be separate time for students
Students will have to register their attendance online from 8 am to 9 am in the summer term from April 1 to September 30 and from 9 am to 10 am in the winter term from October 1 to March 31.
Details of mid day meal will also be digital
Whereas the details of mid day meal will be sent by 12 noon in summers and by 1.30 pm in winters. Along with attendance and mid-day meal register, 12 registers of admission, correspondence and child census etc. have been digitalised.
A new module named Digital Register has been developed on Prerna Portal. Teachers will have to fill complete details on this. Currently, 2.09 lakh tablets have been given to council schools.
Strict instructions to basic education officers
On behalf of Director General, School Education Vijay Kiran Anand, instructions have been given to the District Basic Education Officers to strictly implement this system. He told that in future the attendance of students and teachers will be recorded by facial recognition technology i.e. by showing the face on the tablet.
