Railway Fare Increase: Big news for railway passengers! Railways increased the fare of this train, check here

Indian railway news: Railways has issued a big update regarding train fares, Railways has made train tickets expensive on many routes, let us know in the news how expensive the train ticket will be on which route…..

New Delhi: Now even traveling by train has become expensive for the common man. Train fares are skyrocketing during the festive season. Second AC fare in Suvidha Express Train has reached Rs 11,230.

Now the fare of Jaipur-Yesvantpur (Bengaluru) Suvidha Express has also increased by the same amount. It is beyond the reach of the common man. Whereas for Mumbai-Patna route it has reached Rs 9,395.

High flexi fare of these premium express trains can be reviewed. However, there is little chance of the price of train tickets coming down this season.

This is why tickets are expensive

Let us tell you that Railways has given permission to increase the fare by up to Rs 300 for both AC and non-AC berths. In such a situation, the fare in these trains is unusually high. At present only two Suvidha Express trains are running on Mumbai-Patna and Jaipur-Yesvantpur.

Premium Express train service was introduced in 2014 on busy routes and only confirmed and RAC tickets are issued. However, in view of such high flexi fare, Railways may take some steps soon.

Train fare is more than flight fare

According to railway ticket booking website IRCTC, 2AC ticket in Mumbai-Patna Suvidha Express trains is Rs 9,395 till December 8. Similarly, in the case of Jaipur-Yesvantpur Suvidha Express, the 2AC fare till February 3 is Rs 11,230.

Train fare is higher than air fare. For example, a one-way flight ticket from Jaipur to Mumbai on November 25 is Rs 7,549. Whereas on November 22, the cheapest one-way airfare from Mumbai to Patna is Rs 7,022.

Railways running extra trains

In view of the festival rush, Railways is running additional trains. During the current festive season, the Railways has operated 2,423 journeys of special trains since October 1. Of these, 36 lakh passengers are travelling.

An official said 2,614 journeys took place between October 1 and December 31 last year. This year, Railways has increased it three times. There will be a total of 6,754 trips to reduce crowding.
