President Draupadi Murmu today flagged off three new trains from Badampahar railway station in Odisha on Tuesday. Also laid the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Badampahar Railway Station.
In fact, today President Draupadi Murmu has flagged off these 3 new trains (Shalimar-Badampahar Weekly Express, Badampahad-Rourkela Weekly Express, Tatanagar-Badampahar MEMU train). On this occasion, Odisha Governor Raghuvar Das, Union Education and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Railway, Information and Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs and Water Power Vishweshwar Tudu were present.

Shalimar-Badampahar Weekly Express will be the first express train connecting Shalimar near Kolkata in West Bengal to Badampahad in Odisha.
The second weekly express train will connect the mineral-rich areas of Badampahad with India’s steel city Rourkela.
The third train – Tatanagar-Badampahad MEMU – will be important for daily commuters as it will run six days a week except Sundays.
At the same time, President Draupadi Murmu also gave his address on the occasion of flagging off the new trains from Badampahar railway station in Odisha.
