Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has approved the Labor Department’s proposal to allow 83 new establishments to remain open 24 hours. The list of these 83 outlets establishments includes many leading brands of retail, fashion, e-commerce, logistics and food. LG has given this approval under Section 14, 15 and 16 of the Delhi Shops and Establishment Act 1954.
New Delhi. Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has approved the Labor Department’s proposal to allow 83 new establishments to remain open 24 hours. The list of these 83 outlet establishments includes many leading brands from retail, fashion, e-commerce, logistics and food.
LG has given this approval under Section 14, 15 and 16 of the Delhi Shops and Establishment Act, 1954.
This is the fourth such proposal that has been approved by the LG since October 2022. In October 2022, for the first time, they had given relaxation to 314 establishments to operate on 24×7 basis, followed by 55 and 155 establishments respectively in April and June this year.
Now with these new 83 approvals, a total of 607 shops and establishments at various places in the national capital will remain open round the clock and give impetus to economic activities.
LG has appreciated that applications are now being approved faster than before. Even in 2022, applications pending since 2016 were approved.
