Delhi School Winter Break: Cold and pollution levels have started increasing in Delhi. Due to the increasing level of pollution, it seems that the Delhi government may soon announce winter holidays in schools. If this happens, it will be the second time that the state government will announce holidays for educational institutions. In November, schools were closed for 10 days in Delhi-NCR in view of rising AQI levels.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had announced winter vacation in all government, government-aided and non-government schools. Due to this holiday, the authorities had decided to reduce the Delhi Winter Holidays 2023 from 15 to 6 days.
This year, the Directorate of Education has announced winter holidays in Delhi schools from January 1 to 6, 2024. Students will have to return to schools from January 8, 2024. However, if Delhi’s AQI starts falling again and the temperature drops, then keeping in mind the health of children, the administration can declare holidays in schools/colleges. Usually, every year the Delhi government has to extend the winter vacation due to cold.
