BOB launches National Common Mobility Prepaid Card, will be able to pay for public transport across the country

This prepaid card of Bank of Baroda can be used for metro and bus, train, cab, ferry, toll and parking. It becomes active for use in real time.

It would be great if you travel by public transport anywhere in the country and payment is made everywhere with the same card. Yes, public sector Bank of Baroda has launched one such special prepaid card. It can be called National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) RuPay Reloadable Prepaid Card. According to the news of Business Today, the bank has taken this initiative under the One Nation One Card initiative. This is going to provide a lot of convenience to the people.

Metro-Bus Train Cab can be used everywhere

According to the news, Bank of Baroda NCMC RuPay Platinum EMV Chip-Enabled Contactless Prepaid Card is an inter-operable and multi-purpose transport card. It can be used to pay for public transport across the country. It can be used for metro and bus, train, cab, ferry, toll and parking. The card can also be used for daily ATM cash withdrawals and payments through POS and e-commerce.

The card becomes active immediately

For this special card of the bank, you can contact the branch of Bank of Baroda. It becomes active for use in real time. The card supports both online and offline transactions at NCMC-specific terminals. The maximum online wallet balance you can maintain at any time is Rs 1 lakh and the maximum offline wallet balance allowed is Rs 2,000.

Acceptable on all RuPay e-commerce, POS terminals and ATM machines

Cardholders can load/reload money into the online wallet through a dedicated portal provided by the Bank. The offline wallet can be reloaded at designated NCMC terminal operators at the transit location. According to Business Today news, the card is accepted at all RuPay e-commerce, POS terminals and ATM machines. Customers will get transaction related information through SMS on their registered mobile number.
