Weather Update: There will be heavy rain in these states, cold will increase; Know the weather condition of your city

Monday was the coldest day of the month in the capital Delhi and the minimum temperature was recorded at 5.3 degrees Celsius, 2 degrees below normal. According to IMD, the temperature on January 8 in Delhi was similar to that of Nainital.

There are chances of rain with storm and hailstorm in different areas of the country today. The India Meteorological Department said on Monday that there will be dense fog in many parts of North India during the next 24 hours. There may also be an increase in cold wave. Light to heavy rainfall may occur at isolated places in Tamil Nadu and Kerala on Tuesday. There is no possibility of any significant change in the minimum temperature during the next 5 days in the northern parts of the country. Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan recorded minimum temperatures between 4-8 degrees Celsius. Cold wave is expected to continue in different areas of Rajasthan and western Uttar Pradesh till January 10.

Chance of rain in the capital Delhi today

Monday was the coldest day of the month in the national capital and the minimum temperature was recorded at 5.3 degrees Celsius, 2 degrees below normal. According to IMD, the temperature on January 8 in Delhi was similar to that of Nainital. The minimum temperature recorded in Nainital was 5.4 degrees Celsius. Last year, on December 15, the minimum temperature in the capital was recorded at 4.9 degrees, 4 degrees below normal, which was the lowest temperature in the entire season so far. The official said that in some parts of Delhi, there is a possibility of cold during the day on Tuesday and it will reduce thereafter. The Meteorological Department has predicted cloudy sky and light rain or drizzle on Tuesday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 15 degrees Celsius and 7 degrees Celsius respectively.

Madhya Pradesh in the grip of cold with cold winds

Along with cold, fog is continuing in Madhya Pradesh, this situation is expected to persist during the next 24 hours. The entire state is passing through the grip of cold and fog. Due to this, life was affected. There is no possibility of getting relief from cold for at least the next 2 days. Light rainfall was recorded during the last 24 hours in the divisions of Indore, Narmadapuram and Ujjain including the capital Bhopal. Western disturbance affecting weather patterns is coming. At present, there is a cyclone in and around North Punjab and due to this, there is no hope of relief from rain and cold for the next 2 days. The maximum impact of the system will be on the northern and western parts of the state, due to which there is a possibility of rain. The weather is likely to clear from January 12. After this, sunshine may shine, there is a possibility of slight relief from cold.

Heavy rain expected in Rayalaseema in next 24 hours

There are chances of heavy rains at isolated places in Rayalaseema, Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours. The Meteorological Center gave this information on Monday. The daily weather report has predicted thunderstorm with lightning at isolated places over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the same period. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely at one or two places over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours. Rain occurred at one or two places in Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema. Northeast Monsoon has been weak over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and normal over Rayalaseema.

Cold havoc continues in Kashmir valley

Along with dry weather, cold continues to wreak havoc in Kashmir Valley. The weather will remain mainly dry in the valley even today. Along with being generally cloudy in the plains, there are chances of light snowfall in different altitude areas of Jammu and Kashmir on January 9. The weather is expected to remain dry here till January 10-14. The temperature on Monday was recorded at minus 4.3 degrees Celsius, which is minus 1.9 degrees Celsius below the normal. The maximum temperature in Srinagar was 5.5 degrees Celsius above the normal of 6.1 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature recorded the previous day was 11.6 degrees Celsius amid sunrise. Qazigund on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway witnessed a slight improvement in the night temperature as it settled at minus 4.2 degrees Celsius today compared to minus 5.0 degrees Celsius last night.
