School-office holiday in these states on 22 January, see the complete list here

The Personnel Ministry has issued orders to all the ministries and departments of the Center regarding this. It said, ‘The consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla will be celebrated across India on 22 January 2024.’

The consecration ceremony of Ramlala is to be held on January 22 in the Ram temple of Ayodhya.On this occasion, all central government offices across the country will remain closed for half a day.The Personnel Ministry has issued orders to all the ministries and departments of the Center regarding this.It said, ‘The consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla will be celebrated across India on 22 January 2024.To enable employees to participate in this celebration, it has been decided that all Central Government offices, Central Institutions and Central Industrial Establishments across India will remain closed for half a day till 2:30 pm on 22 January 2024.

Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said that this decision has been taken in view of the tremendous enthusiasm of the people.He said, ‘There was a lot of demand from the public across the country regarding this.The decision to close the central government offices for half a day on January 22 has been taken keeping in mind the public sentiments.It is known that the consecration ceremony of the new idol of Ramlala is to be held on Monday in the sanctum sanctorum of Ram temple.This ceremony is scheduled to be done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Many BJP ruled states have also declared January 22 as a public holiday or half-day holiday.Let us tell you whether your school or office will be closed on Monday or not…

Madhya Pradesh: All schools will remain closed in MP on 22 January.State Chief Minister Mohan Yadav himself has announced this.He said that this decision has been taken so that people can celebrate this day like a festival.CM Yadav said that January 22 will also be a dry day in the state.He said that this decision was taken keeping in mind the public sentiments.

Rajasthan:The Rajasthan government has announced a half-day holiday in the state on the occasion of the consecration ceremony.Cabinet Minister Kanhaiya Lal Chaudhary said that he has appealed to the Chief Minister to declare a holiday for the entire day.

Chhattisgarh:There will be a holiday in all government schools and colleges in Chhattisgarh on 22 January.Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai gave this information through a post on social media.

Haryana: Haryana government has decided to keep schools closed on the occasion of Ramlala Pratishtha ceremony.Besides, there will also be a dry day on January 22 in the state.

Assam: Assam government has announced half-day holiday in all government offices and educational institutions.Offices will open only after 2:30 pm.

Tripura:All government offices and educational institutions in Tripura will remain closed till 2:30 pm on January 22.

Goa:January 22 has been declared a public holiday for government employees in Goa.
