Maharashtra Declared Holiday: 22 January declared a complete holiday, no transactions in government securities

Holiday on 22nd January: Maharashtra government has declared a holiday for the whole day on 22nd January, the day of consecration of Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Holiday on 22nd January: Maharashtra Government has declared 22nd January as a complete holiday. Invoking Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, the state government has said that no transactions will be done in government securities (primary and secondary), money markets and rupee interest rate derivatives on Monday. All types of transactions will be completed on 23 January.

Reversal of VRR auction now on 23rd January

According to the press release of RBI, a 3-day Variable Rate Repo (VRR) auction was conducted on Friday. Its reversal was to happen on 22 January. Now this reversal will be done on January 23. Earlier, many state governments have declared a holiday on January 22 for the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha program. Apart from this, half-day holiday has been announced in public banks in UP.

Half day leave for central employees on 22 January

The idol of Ramlala has reached the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Now Pran Pratishtha program will be held on 22nd January. In this, along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, all the big people of the country will participate. Apart from many state governments, the Central Government has also announced that the central employees working across the country will be given half-day leave on January 22. Uttar Pradesh government has announced to keep all government offices and schools and colleges closed. Apart from this, liquor shops will also be kept closed.

Holidays in MP and Goa also

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has also announced holiday for all government employees and schools. Liquor and cannabis shops in the state will also remain closed on this day. In Goa too, the state government has announced that government employees will be on leave on January 22. Along with this, schools will also remain closed.

Half day in Chhattisgarh and full holiday in Haryana

The BJP government of Chhattisgarh has also announced that people will be given half-day holiday on January 22 during the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony. All government offices will remain closed till 2 pm. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has declared January 22 as a government holiday in the state. Apart from this, dry day has also been announced.
