School Holidays: Uttar Pradesh, including Chandigarh and Jammu have once again extended the holidays of schools up to class 8th. The District Magistrate has fixed the time for opening of schools from class 9 to 12 from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. This order will be applicable to the schools of all the boards.
Holiday Extended 2024: In view of the severe cold, dense fog and cold wave in Uttar Pradesh, school holidays have been extended again in many districts. Holidays in schools from class 1st to 8th in Agra district have now been extended till 24th January. The District Magistrate has fixed the time from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm for opening schools from classes 9 to 12.
School holidays extended in Agra/Kannauj
Under the orders of Agra District Magistrate Bhanu Chandra Goswami, there will be a holiday on January 23 and 24 in all schools up to class VIII. Hazrat Ali’s birthday is on 25th January and Republic Day is the next day, hence now schools will open from 27th January only. Instructions have been given to give priority to conducting online classes in schools from class 9th to 12th. This order has been issued to all the boards. Will be applicable to schools. Similarly, holiday has been declared in Kannauj till 24th January.
Holidays extended in Chandigarh/Jammu also
In the Union Territory of Chandigarh, holidays in schools up to class five have been extended by one week, now schools will open on January 29. Officially, due to winter, schools will remain closed till January 25, but after that on January 26 and 27. It is also a holiday. After this, 28th January is Sunday, hence now schools will open only on 29th January.
Jammu and Kashmir government has also extended winter vacation in schools of Jammu division. In Jammu division, all the schools up to class 12th will remain closed till January 27, thus, due to January 28 being a Sunday, the schools here too will open on January 29.
