Metro Timing Change: Big Update! Change in metro running timings on 26th January, check updates immediately before traveling

Republic Day 2024: In view of the crowd of people watching the Republic Day Parade, Delhi Metro has announced to run the metro from 4 am.

Republic Day 2024: On the occasion of Republic Day, Delhi Metro has given good news to the passengers. DMRC said in one of its posts on Twitter that in view of the crowd of people watching the Republic Day Parade, it has announced to run the metro from 4 am. On this day, metro of all lines will run from 4 am. Train services will be available at an interval of 30 minutes till 6 am.

To facilitate the public to reach the duty path to witness the Republic Day celebrations on 6 January 2024 (Friday), Delhi Metro will start its services at 4:00 am on all its lines. Train services will be available at an interval of 30 minutes till 06:00 am and thereafter, regular time table will be followed for the rest of the day.

These passengers will get free coupons

Additionally, those who have genuine e-invitation cards/e-tickets to attend the Republic Day celebrations will be issued coupons on production of valid government documents. Photo identity card issued at stations will be valid only for exiting Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan metro stations to access the duty path. The coupon will be valid only for return journey from these two stations.

Further, passengers whose e-invite card/e-ticket is mentioned as Annexure 1 to 9 and V1 and V2 are advised to alight at Udyog Bhawan Metro station. Similarly, enclosures 10 to 24 and those marked with VN are advised to alight at Central Secretariat Metro station. Regular announcements will also be made inside the trains to inform the passengers about this so that they get down at the designated stations to reach their destination easily. The cost of these coupons (tickets) will be reimbursed to DMRC by the Ministry of Defence.
