300 units free electricity

Finance Minister gave big relief to 1 crore people. It has been announced that 300 units of free electricity will be provided every month to one crore houses in the country. Finance Minister announced to install solar panels in 1 crore houses under Sarvodaya Yojana. Every house that installs solar panels will get 300 units of free electricity every month.

Not only the poor but the middle class also get a home.

Presenting the Interim Budget 2024, the Finance Minister said that the government will also help the middle class living in rented houses or slums or unauthorized colonies to buy and build their own houses. The government will start a scheme for this. The government has said to focus on the housing scheme for the middle class. Referring to PM Awas Yojana, the Finance Minister said that the government will prepare 2 crore houses.

Gift to women

Focusing on women in the budget, the Finance Minister described half the population as a strong pillar. The government set a target to increase their number to 3 crore under the Lakhpati Didi scheme. He said that women should get 30 crore Mundra Yojana loans in 10 years. While giving gifts to the women, he said that Asha workers and Anganwadi workers will be linked to the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

Gift to railways

While giving a railway gift, the Finance Minister announced to convert 40 thousand train coaches in the country into Vande Bharat. He said that in last year’s budget, capital expenditure of Rs 2.40 lakh crore was announced on Railways. Finance Minister announced the expansion of Metro and Namo Bharat. He said that there will be improvement in the operation of passenger trains and passenger safety and the speed of trains will further increase.

Gift to farmers

Even though the Finance Minister did not increase the budget of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, he talked about preparing a scheme to help dairy farmers. Announced to formulate a strategy for self-reliance in oilseeds. Announced 55 lakh new jobs through PM Matsya Yojana. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that government assistance has been given to 11.8 crore farmers.

What did the villagers get

Finance Minister increased the budget of MNREGA. The budget estimate of MNREGA for the financial year 2023-24 was Rs 60,000 crore, which was increased to Rs 86,000 crore for the financial year 2024-25. Whereas the budget of Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY was increased from Rs 7,200 crore to Rs 7500 crore in the financial year 2024-25.

Focus on population control

Keeping in view the increasing population of the country, the government has proposed in the budget to form a committee for population control and assessment of demographic change. This committee will give its recommendations to the government to deal with the increasing population. To ensure that increasing population growth does not become a big challenge for India in the future, the government has announced the formation of a committee.

Target of developed nation

The Finance Minister said that with seven economic reforms, India will become a developed nation by 2047. He said that the country will develop with the progress of the poor, women, farmers and youth.

PM Awas

Finance Minister announced to build three crore houses under PM Awas Yojana. He said that two crore more houses will be built in the next 5 years.

Promotion of vaccination

The Finance Minister talked about promoting vaccination for cervical cancer. He said that girls aged 9 to 14 years will be given free vaccination.
