A big announcement has been made especially regarding farmers. Rajasthan government has decided to increase the amount of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
How much did the amount increase?
Finance Minister Diya Kumari has increased the amount of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana from Rs 6 thousand to Rs 8 thousand per year. After this announcement, farmers have got some relief. The Finance Minister told in the budget speech that a proposal of Rs 400 crore annually is proposed for the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme.

Recently the Central Government was asked whether the government is going to increase the funds of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. On this, Union Agriculture Minister Arjun Munda said that there is no proposal under consideration to increase the amount of Samman Nidhi. He gave this answer in writing.
11 crore farmers have got the benefit
The Union Agriculture Minister had also recently told that till now the government has given Rs 2.81 lakh crore to more than 11 crore farmers in 15 installments. The Agriculture Minister called it the world’s largest DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) scheme.
What is PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana?
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was launched in the year 2019. This scheme was announced before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Under this scheme, farmers are given Rs 6000 in four installments in a year. Rs 2,000 is given in one installment in two months. This money goes into bank accounts.
