The metro management has taken this decision because of the long lines at the ticket counter. Till now this limit was 30 minutes. Due to this people were facing a lot of problems. In view of this, Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has taken this decision.
NMRC Managing Director Dr. Lokesh M said that there is a facility to buy tickets in two ways to travel on Noida Metro line. First, you can book tickets from the station counter and second, you can book tickets from your smartphone sitting at home. Till now, after booking a ticket, it had to be used within 30 minutes, after which it did not work. He had to go to the counter and get it activated again, without getting it activated the ticket did not work at the Automatic Fare Collection Gate (AFC) installed at the metro station. Due to this, long queues were forming at the ticket counters.

Due to these problems being faced by passengers, the period for using tickets has been extended. After NMRC, the DPR of Metro going from Noida to Greater Noida West has also got approval from Noida Authority. Approval has been obtained by signing from all the members of the board one by one. There has also been a change in the proposed metro route of Greater Noida West.
