Just like many bank riders think after wearing a helmet that now they will be saved from challan and will also be safe. Whereas neither of the two is possible just by placing the helmet on the head. Correct way to wear a helmet
Whether you ride a bike or a scooter, wearing a helmet is compulsory. So that firstly, your pocket is saved from getting hit by challan and secondly, you also remain safe. But for this it is important that you wear the helmet properly. That means, firstly, your helmet should fit your head, neither tight nor loose. After applying this, apply the strip properly. So that the helmet can provide proper protection to your head and your head will get minimum injury in case of any accident etc. Your challan can be deducted even if you do not close the strip.

There is a provision of challan for not wearing helmet and not closing the strip. For which you can be issued a challan under the Motor Vehicle Act. That is, if you do not wear a helmet while driving a two wheeler, then if you are caught, a challan of Rs 2,000 can be issued and if you do not close the strip after wearing a helmet, a challan of up to Rs 1,000 can be issued. Therefore it is important to wear the helmet properly.
Wear only ISI marked helmet
Many times, even after wearing a helmet and closing the strip properly, the issue of challan arises. Because the helmet worn by the two wheeler rider is not ISI certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BSI). Whereas according to the Motor Vehicle Act, it is mandatory for the helmet to be ISI certified and even if it is not so, your challan can be deducted, which will be Rs 1,000. Therefore, avoid doing this and stay safe along with the challan.
