Rainfall Update: There will be heavy rain in these areas in the next 24 hours, IMD issues yellow alert

Delhi Rains: The weather has once again taken a turn in Delhi. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be light rain with strong winds in many areas of Delhi in the next 24 hours. IMD has issued yellow alert for many areas of Delhi.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in the coming week also. The department has issued a yellow alert for rain on July 15 and 16. There will be a drop in temperature due to heavy rains.

According to the Meteorological Department, there was light rain in Delhi on Wednesday. Due to this, the maximum and minimum temperatures in the city remained around 34 and 26 degrees Celsius.

According to IMD, drizzle conditions will prevail for the next six days. During this period, there may be moderate rain or heavy rain in some areas of Delhi on Saturday and Sunday. During this period, there will be a drop in temperature.

Yamuna water level increased

Delhi Police on Wednesday imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) in flood-prone areas of Delhi.

The water level of Yamuna river has crossed 207.55. Its water level in Delhi has reached 207.55 meters, breaking the 45-year-old record.

The last time the water level of Yamuna in Delhi reached the record level of 207.49 meters was in 1978. After this, now its record has been broken in 2023. After the water level increased, people living on the banks of Yamuna river have been evacuated to safe places.

Till 8:30 am on Tuesday, 008.3 mm rainfall was recorded. Maximum rainfall of 041.5 mm was recorded in Pusa, 037.0 mm in Mayur Vihar and 029.9 mm in Ridge. Due to this, the problem of waterlogging was also seen in some areas.

Due to light sunshine in the afternoon, the humidity made people uncomfortable. At the same time, on Tuesday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 32.5 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal and the minimum temperature was also recorded at 24.4 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal.
