IMD Alert: The maximum temperature recorded in the country’s capital Delhi on Wednesday was 33.6 degrees Celsius, which is the highest temperature recorded since January. The Meteorological Department office has predicted partly cloudy sky on Thursday and the maximum and minimum temperatures will be 32 and 15 degrees Celsius respectively.

Heavy rain occurred in various parts of Odisha
Heavy rain occurred at various places in Odisha on Wednesday. On Wednesday, IMD has issued an orange alert regarding lightning, storm and rain in nine districts of the state, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Balangir, Subarnapur and Boudh. Many parts of Khurda district, including state capital Bhubaneswar and neighboring districts Nayagarh, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Ganjam and Kandhamal, received heavy to very heavy rainfall (2 to 3 cm per hour) on Wednesday morning.
IMD has predicted rain in nine districts of the state, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Subarnapur and Boudh on Thursday.

- ‘Green’ alert means no action is required.
- In ‘Yellow’ alert, there is a possibility of the weather getting very bad.
- In ‘Orange’ alert, warning is given about the possibility of extremely bad weather.
- In ‘Red’ alert, people are warned about the possibility of severe weather and loss of life and property.
