After the arrest of AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, security in the capital Delhi has been tightened. All roads leading to Aam Aadmi Party have been closed. Along with this, two metro stations have also been closed till further orders.
New Delhi: After the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Aam Aadmi Party workers are protesting on the streets of Delhi. The roads of Delhi are closed due to this demonstration. In view of this, Delhi Police and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation have made special preparations. Keeping security in mind, Delhi Police has closed many roads. Along with this, DMRC has also closed 2 metro stations.
The metro administration had informed about closure of only ITO metro station in the morning. But now Lok Kalyan Marg metro station has also been closed till further orders. Now no metro train will stop here. Neither will anyone be allowed to enter these two stations nor will any passenger be able to leave from here.

On advice of Delhi Police, Lok Kalyan Marg Metro station will also remain closed in addition to ITO Metro station till further notice.

Many roads were closed
Earlier this morning, in view of the protest by Aam Aadmi Party, Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for the people so that people do not face any problem. In the advisory, the traffic police said, “In view of the political party’s protest on ‘DDU Marg’ of Delhi, traffic will be heavy on IP Marg, Vikas Marg, Minto Road and Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg. DDU Marg will remain closed for traffic movement. Please Avoid these roads.”
Apart from this, there are some other roads also where traffic is going to be affected. Delhi Traffic Police said that due to special arrangements, traffic may be affected on Krishna Menon Marg, Motilal Nehru Marg, Janpath, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Road. Delhi Traffic Police has advised people to avoid using these routes until further notice.
