In this new service of Railways, people will be able to buy general tickets by paying through QR code at the ticket counter present at the railway station. In this, payment can be made through major UPI modes like Paytm, Google Pay and Phone Pay.

Apart from this, to promote digital payments, Railways is starting the facility of QR code scanner everywhere from food to tickets, fines and parking. With the introduction of this facility, passengers who are caught traveling without tickets will be able to pay the fine by scanning the QR code of the special device available with the railway staff.
This step of Railways will provide convenience to the passengers. Apart from this, if passengers are caught traveling without a ticket, they will also be able to pay the fine and will be able to avoid going to jail. For this, hand held terminal machine has been given to the railway checking staff. Hand held terminal machines have been sent to the ticket checking staff.
