Weather Latest Update: IMD has released the weather update. There is warning of rain at some places in India and heatwave at many other places.
Weather Latest Update: India Meteorological Department has predicted rain and heatwave in Arunachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab and other states for the next five days.
IMD said that rain or storm like conditions are likely to continue in north-east India till April 7, 2024. Heat wave conditions may persist in some parts of Eastern and Peninsular India during 3 to 6 April 2024.
The weather department had already predicted ‘extreme heat’ in many Indian states in the coming months. There are signs of more heatwave days in most of the plains. In many parts of the country, 10 to 20 heatwave days are expected compared to the normal four to eight days.
Over North Interior Karnataka from 3 to 5 April, over Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal from 4 to 7 April, over Jharkhand, Telangana, Rayalaseema from 4 to 6 April and isolated areas of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam from 3 to 6 April 2024. There is a possibility of heat wave.
There is a possibility of heavy rainfall or snowfall at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh from 3 to 7 April and very heavy rainfall is likely to occur on 6 April 2024. Apart from this, there may be heavy rain at different places in Assam and Meghalaya on 4th and 5th April.
