Ayodhya airport: After Pran Pratistha, people from all over the country were coming to Ayodhya. At the same time, direct flights to Ayodhya were started from many cities. Now services in four of those cities have come to a standstill.
Flights stopped: In the last one month, direct flights from Maharishi Valmiki Airport to four cities have come to a standstill. Among these, there are some flights which did not operate properly even for a week after their commencement. In such a situation, now passengers have to travel by air with the help of connecting flights. Due to this, fares are also being affected. The reason for the halt of these airlines is being said to be lack of passengers.
On February 9, SpiceJet started direct flights from Ramnagari to six cities including Jaipur, Darbhanga and Patna. After the inauguration of the airport on December 30, the air connectivity of Ramnagari had improved significantly with the start of flights to many cities simultaneously in the same month. Gradually the lack of passengers forced the airline company to stop its flight services.
Same situation happened with Dehradun flight also. On March 6, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami had flagged off the Alliance Air plane for Ayodhya from Dehradun airport. This flight was to come to Ayodhya on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but after the first one week this air service came to a standstill.
Services can start once passengers are received
The schedule of starting and stopping of planes is decided by the companies. Companies start flights on a route only after doing their own assessment. However, closed airlines can also be started considering the number of passengers.
