Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) has given a strong inflation shock to the people of Delhi amid the Lok Sabha elections. MCD has increased the property tax rates of various categories of properties in the capital.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has given a strong inflation shock to Delhiites amid the Lok Sabha elections. MCD has increased the property tax rates in the capital. The Municipal Corporation has increased the property tax on various categories of properties, both residential and commercial.

Under this increase, property tax has been increased by 12 percent for A and B category properties, 11 percent for C to E category properties and 7 percent for F to H category properties. Along with this, property tax on A to E category properties has been increased by 20 percent for commercial properties.

According to the information, the Municipal Corporation has decided to increase the property tax rates for the financial year 2024-25 under a proposal on April 8. The property tax department of the corporation has taken the decision in view of increasing the revenue.
