IMD Rainfall Update: According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of severe heat wave in West Bengal, Odisha and Bihar on April 30. There is a possibility of rain in some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Telangana.
IMD Rainfall Update: At present the heat is at its peak in India. However, due to rain and snowfall in some states of the country, the weather remains slightly mild. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of severe heat wave in West Bengal, Odisha and Bihar on April 30. There is a possibility of rain in some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Telangana.
Delhi’s climate
An alert of strong winds has been issued in Delhi till May 1. The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of light rain with thunder in Delhi on May 4. According to IMD, the maximum temperature of Delhi can remain between 35 to 40 degrees Celsius this entire week. The minimum temperature is likely to be between 21 to 25 degrees Celsius. Today, on April 30, the maximum temperature in Delhi can be 37 degrees and the minimum temperature can be 22 degrees Celsius. At the same time, strong winds will blow in Delhi today during the day.
Weather condition of the country
According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, light to moderate rain and snowfall is possible at many places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh during the next 24 hours. There may be heavy rain and snowfall at some places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Jammu Kashmir. Light rain is possible in Uttarakhand.
Apart from this, light to moderate rain and snowfall is possible in Arunachal Pradesh. There may be moderate rain at one or two places with scattered light rain over Northeast India. Rain is possible in parts of Vidarbha, Marathwada, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and South Odisha.
At the same time, there may be light to moderate rain and isolated hailstorm with thunder in the northern parts of Punjab. Light rain is possible in northern Haryana and north-western Rajasthan. There may be light sporadic rain in Kerala. According to IMD, heatwave alert has been issued in West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Konkan, Karnataka and Kerala.
Seasonal activities of the country
According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, the Western Disturbance in the form of a cyclonic circulation is now located between 3.1 and 5.8 km above mean sea level over central Afghanistan, forming a trough in the upper tropospheric westerlies, with its axis at sea level. 7.6 km above, which is approximately 65 degrees east longitude and 30 degrees north latitude. The induced cyclonic circulation is over northwest Rajasthan.
Apart from this, another cyclonic circulation is over Northeast Assam. A cyclonic circulation has formed over Bangladesh and surrounding areas. The trough line extends from north-east Jharkhand to south Chhattisgarh. A trough/wind dissection extends up to 1.5 km above mean sea level from eastern parts of Vidarbha to North Kerala up to Central Maharashtra and Interior Karnataka. A cyclonic circulation has formed over the Gulf of Mannar and surrounding areas.
